Human rights activist and Afenifere spokesman Yinka Odumakin is dead

Popular human rights activist and National Publicity Secretary of Afenifere, Yinka Odumakin is, dead.

OGBONGE NEWS reports that the the controversial Odumakin passed on in the early hours of Saturday allegedly of COVID-19 complications; he was aged 56.

Until his death, he was married to Joe-Okei Odumakin, a widely-known human rights activist also.

Yinka was reported to be battling with diabetes before he got infected with COVID-19.

His shocked wife, Dr. Joe Okei-Odumakin confirmed the death of her husband.

She said Yinka died Saturday morning at the Intensive Care Unit of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja.

Efforts to reach the family to further confirm the circumstances surrounding Yinka Odumakin's death has proved abortive as at the time of filing this report.
